Design I had to design a shape that could be built on top of the original 1979 GTV by using sheet metal. The owner wanted a car that he could build himself even though this was going to be his first attempt to do bodywork. The aim was to create a modern looking Alfa GTV that is inspired by the American muscle cars. The car had to be completely road legal leaving the body shell untouched. I kept the same doors, only modifying the position of the handle. Both the front and back wind shields are standard items. The front and back end were completely re-designed. The car was widened by 250mm at the back and 200 mm at the front. The design was completed in 2004. |
